AFAD-IĞDIR IRAP 2027–2031 PERIOD WORKSHOP
Evaluation and coordination workshops organized within the scope of the Provincial Risk Reduction Plan (İRAP) were held with the participation of representatives from relevant public institutions and academics. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Züleyha Reçber and Dr. Mustafa Korkmaz represented our department in the efforts aimed at the early identification of disaster risks and the minimization of potential damages.
During the workshop sessions, the region's disaster hazards, risk reduction strategies, and inter-institutional coordination processes were addressed in detail. Faculty members from our department shared their technical and scientific insights regarding risk analyses, resilient building stock, infrastructure assessments, and the preparation of preventive action plans.
At the event, which emphasized the critical role of university-public sector cooperation in building disaster-resilient cities, the insights shared by our academics were integrated into the processes of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan (IRAP).
